John Mikel Obi, a 27-year-old Nigerian-born footballer recently
claimed that he is planning to stay at an English football club Chelsey.
Despites the latest rumours about Mikel Obi being transferred, in one
of his latest interviews he said about his intentions to stay.
The rumours began last summer when the footballer became of interest
at the transfer market. The Nigerian football star said that he thinks
of his future only with the London's club. According to the latest news,
Nigerian holding midfielder has recently undergone a knee surgery, and
will be back on the field in one month.
Mikel Obi has played in 21 games for Chelsey this season, with one
goal and one assists. He arrived to Chelsea in 2006, in September, and
moved from the position of an attacking midfielder to the place of
holding midfielder at once. He is a very quick player who is great at
his spot and is also not afraid to take risks and attack when the timing
is right.
Mikel has already won several honours during his time at Chelsea,
including the final of 2012 Champions League, when the team overcame
Bayern Munich in Germany.
